The Magical Christmas Village at the Royal Castle of Govone
An event spread across the lands of Langhe, Monferrato, and Roero to experience the magic of Christmas
From 16 November to 22 December 2024, immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere in Asti, Govone, and San Damiano d’Asti, united in an enchanting itinerary of tradition, art, and magic.
Piazza Alfieri in Asti will host a charming Christmas market with 130 wooden chalets, offering artisanal products, typical gastronomy, and delicious street food to savor local traditions. In San Damiano d’Asti, the Living Nativity Scene will revive ancient crafts, featuring costumed figures and the evocative sounds of bagpipers in the historic cellars of the village.
At the Royal Castle of Govone, the full magic of Christmas will shine. Surrounded by a romantic enchanted village, the town will transform into a fairy-tale snow globe, welcoming elves, shows, and attractions for all ages. Discover the new musical at Santa Claus’s House, and for the little ones, the Elf School, where they can become Santa’s perfect helpers!
During your visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Castle, explore the noble halls specially decorated with Christmas scenes. The “Christmas at the Royal Castle” exhibition will be open on Saturdays and Sundays, from 16 November to 22 December, from 10:00 to 18:45, lasting approximately 25 minutes. Special Inauguration: On Saturday, 16 November, the last entry for the exhibition will be at 16:30, allowing everyone to enjoy the evening’s inaugural show. We look forward to sharing the magic of Christmas with you!
