THE ROSE GARDEN OF KING CARLO FELICE AND MARIA CRISTINA
On Sunday, May 14th, and Sunday, May 21st, a dedicated guide will accompany you on a visit to the Rose Garden of King Carlo Felice. His consort, Maria Cristina of Bourbon-Naples, was a great gardening enthusiast who loved collecting exotic essences and had a good collection of roses, as shown by ancient documents dated 1849 and 1852 written by court gardeners Giovanni Battista and Giuseppe Delorenzi. In 2003, thanks to funding from the Piedmont Region, the municipal administration created a rose garden of ancient roses in the area behind the baroque Church of the Holy Spirit, on land that was already used as a garden during the Savoy era. The visit to the rose garden is free at 11:00 am, 4:30 pm, and 6:30 pm.
GOVONE ON STAGE
On Friday, May 12th, the BatelMan association presents “Non si muore così facilmente” (“You don’t die so easily”). A stand-up comedy show by and with Sandro Cappai. The event will take place at the La Serra venue in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele at 9:30 PM. For reservations and costs, please email info.batelman@gmail.com.
